Day 36-Over 50 and Weight Loss Diary- Covid Tachycardia and More Weight Loss

Went down .2 of a pound and thrilled! My tachycardia is still here, but it seems to be lessening since I removed the NyQuil and CoQ10. I will add back the Ubiquinol to see if that wasn’t the culprit once my heart rate goes back to normal.

Been doing a lot of rebounding (albeit gently) on the leapsandrebounds.com rebounder (10% off with purchasing using code MISSMAISIE10). I also started a squat challenge. Getting my cardio done frequently with the rebounder helps my autoimmune problems, gets my FitBit steps in, and keeps me sane… it also lowers my heart rate.

Am in a reels making brush up course, so I made this while rebounding… I didn’t try very hard, but it’s a start LOL

Day 35-Over 50 and Weight Loss Diary- I AM DOWN TO 161 FROM ALMOST 180!! WOOHOOOO!!!

I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES THIS MORNING!! I AM DOWN TO 161!!!! This is INSANE!!
BEST. DIET. EVER.

THE BAD NEWS: my resting heart rate is up to 78, which is what I worked so hard to remedy in the previous month with regular exercise. I added Ubiquinol (COQ10) and COVID to my life this week, so maybe that has something to do with it. I am not going to take the supplement tomorrow morning and see how my heart rate fares. I don’t think it is the Ubiquinol doing it- I think the 2 weeks of Nyquil may be partially to blame. The studies done on vitamin D3 and Ubiquinol as preventative treatments against long-Covid disorders are compelling:

I will also give up the NyQuil tonight, because it DOES have a history of raising the resting heart rate.

I forced myself on the rebounder throughout the day (and forced myself to eat) because that is usually the best way to lower my heart rate fast… and keep me moving when locked in the house. I also super-hydrated… and washed my face and did a L’BRI facial peel on a FB Live.

Maisie is feeling better, thank goodness, even if she looks feral in the next photo. My friend sent her a Laura Ingalls Wilder book via post and Maisie was over the moon.

Day 34-Over 50 and Weight Loss Diary- Covid Recovery Mode & What I’ve Learned From a Month of New Eating

Up .2 of a pound this morning, but I am in covid recovery and this doesn’t even bother me. In the past, it might have sent me into a downward spiral, but no more.

This new eating program has changed so much about how gentle I am with myself and perceptions about weight loss- much in the same way L’BRI skincare changed my ideas about getting older and aging skin.

I feel very blessed to have both of these programs in my life now. I am SO grateful, beyond words!!

That being said, my heart rate is now 78 today- Covid has done some ugly things with my heart and tachycardia during my 3 bouts. It’s frustrating, but the only solution I have is to do more rebounding on my Leaps & Rebounds mini-trampoline. Cardio helps loads with reducing the resting heart rate and I try to get on EVERY HOUR for a few minutes. I use my FitBit to monitor my vitals and steps. 12k of steps is always my goal (for now). Lately, I have been barely getting 9k, so this must change.

Day 22-Over 50 and Weight Loss Diary- NYE Aftermath and Headache from Hell

Woke with a HORRIFIC headache- it felt like someone was trying to remove my eyeballs with teaspoons. Maisie had a fever of 100F last night at bedtime. Probably Omicron OR maybe it’s the stupid solar flares. Wouldn’t be shocked. Stores are plum outta rapid tests around here. It’s like I have a hangover, without the benefit of drinking last night. Seems rather unfair, if you ask me.

Gained a bit of weight from naughty good luck NYE eating, but not worried. I am back on my horse today, firmly in the saddle with no guilt. That is so odd for me. I live for binge guilt and though I didn’t binge (I just had a meal), it is all the same thing in my twisted psyche.

Jumping back into this diet was SO EASY. I love it. Period.

Got my 12k steps on the rebounder and am planning Maisie’s Harry Potter surprise bedroom redo.

Day 21-Over 50 and Weight Loss Diary- HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE (even if Betty White passed away)

Ooooh- my friend came by to see me for the first time since this diet began and said I look A TON THINNER. I snapped a pic before my shower and I am amazed at how tight the skin is on my body and how my belly fat is just *POOF* gone!

I am feeling this weight loss thing. I feel like I am getting BACK TO ME again…

I was horrified to discover Betty White didn’t even make it to her own 100th birthday. This must be the Harbinger of the Apocalypse if there ever was one. So sad. This doesn’t bode well for 2022.

Lowest weight since starting 19 days ago AND I SURVIVED THE HOLIDAY FOOD BINGE!

The countdown to year 53 of my life begins… same age as JLo, but not yet as fit. I am still super pleased with my progress!!

Between my L’BRI skincare and this weight loss program I WILL BE A HOT MAMA BY MY 53RD BIRTHDAY IN FEBRUARY! The weight (knock wood) is just melting off.

NOW FOR THE BEST PART (insert drumroll)…

MY RESTING HEART RATE IS 65!! That is down from over 70 (and 78 a month prior)!! I suffer from tachycardia, high blood pressure, and a host of autoimmune issues and blood clotting issues.
Staying alive is my ultimate goal.

I am noticing a huge decline in belly fat on this diet, even though I haven’t yet done more than rebounding for exercise.

Cravings simply DO NOT EXIST. I eat too often for hunger. This is like magic- the easiest diet I’ve ever been on!

Woke up another pound gone… I have never, ever NOT gained weight during the holiday season! I.LOVE.THIS.PROGRAM.

I will be 53 in February and I am SO happy in my own skin now, thanks to L’BRI.
I marvel over how I am able to eat so much and so often and still drop weight.
Yes, I use the rebounder and fitbit… no, I haven’t yet done my yoga nor weights- I still have to add those in, but enjoying the peace and quiet of the holiday season.

If I use the weight from the week before I began the diet (because I was terrified to step on the scale on the first day), I’ve lost 9 lbs in 2 weeks!!!

It was been sooo easy. I am looking forward to continuing to lose weight, despite the challenges of the holiday season. I *WILL* lose the pandemic and baby weight finally and for good. Honestly, this is the easiest diet I’ve ever tried.

Over 50 and Weight Loss Diary DayΒ 12- Lupus/Autoimmune Flare Less Today

When I woke up I felt like crud today, too. Headache in front of the head, but less severe than yesterday. General lethargy (again, less than yesterday). I will do a covid swab today. I have the home tests on my shelf. I just need the energy to get to the shelf. I am not usually prone to headaches or migraines.

I do notice a tickle in my throat, no other cold symptoms. I snore, so scratchy throats in the morning aren’t a bit deal.

I’ve been pushing through with rebounding and steps, but just the minimum to keep the aches and pains away. It also helps my breathing immensely. My body pain is the only thing that has gone away so far, which leads me to continue to believe that this was just an immune system freakout. I have covid long hauler stuff on top of it, so who knows?

UPDATES:

As the day wore on, my symptoms went away and my swab was NEGATIVE!

I had a lot of work to catch up on, so my workouts suffered, but I still got my steps in. I am pretty happy with this diet so far… so much so that I will be probably leaving my coach’s link (when I can find it) on this blog from now on, apparently I get some sort of referral credits. I am not quite sure how that works yet.

Dinner was an easy chicken pho style soup with Miracle Noodles and herbs and avocado as garnish.
Sometimes a proper soup is all a body needs when you’re feeling off-kilter.
