I want to make these this week

I love the idea of incorporating tea into baked goods. The flavor it can impart takes the cookies/cakes/etc to a whole new level. I really enjoyed these green tea white chocolate chip cookies. It’s a nice twist to your classic chocolate chip childhood favorite.

Part 7 of the Dumpster Diaries: Trying to Not Get Sidetracked- Doing other stuff and letting folks dumpster dive…

My friend came by today and brought some clothes that may fit C, some did- some didn’t. When she saw the stuff (clothes, shoes, etc) I had dropped into the dumpster, she went diving. Her teen son and daughter could fit them and I was glad for the divers. It KILLS me to throw things out and I have no time to have a rummage. I welcome any and all dumpster divers.

Yesterday we took the entire day off. We ALL needed the break. I planned to do laundry today and still have yet to get to it- have been feeling very sidetracked and tired. R brought home some bluing, which I desperately needed for my yellowed white linens.

The temps are about 93F (33C) today and a thunderstorm is going to be blowing in soon. That’s probably why we are all so lethargic. R is at work today and the other males have been not feeling well.

My parents were here on their daily visit, which is so good for Maisie and the boys. We fed them some Persian kebab with basmati rice that I made for lunch… and copious cups of coffee.

My oldest son is a pianist, so we get a lot of live music around here now. Maisie is OBSESSED with the keyboard/piano/music and always crawls after S when he is playing.

We still have the new sleeper sofa on the front porch- and with the storm almost a certainty- we raised it up on some wood and covered it with a tarp. I also tidied up out there and swept/threw away an entire TRASH bag of garbage.

HOW THE HELL does this stuff accumulate?! I clean out there nearly every day!

I also promised my youngest son cookie making, so we’re making peanut butter cookies tonight. He found an excellent recipe with great reviews.

I am having extreme guilt over not being more gung ho about this right now. I am starting to feel really burnt out, but there is no way I am going to stop this project. I just need a break.
