When she went to bed, I finished the owl lamp she wanted so badly. I wasn’t going to pay 250 bucks for a resin one from a bit company. Instead, I picked up a small vintage bisque owl lamp from the 60s or 1970s and spray painted it in a copperish metallic; bought a 20 dollar burgundy shade from the grocery store and painted it with her initials in Gryffindor colors- and put it on her nightstand while she slept. She is going to be shocked when she wakes up!
THIS MORNING:
SO frustrated- not by my weight, even though I’ve stayed around same for a couple of days- but by my COVID RECOVERY. My weight loss and skincare I am super pleased with… my tachycardia is improving, but not fast enough for my liking.
Tonight I made Filipino garlic fried rice with chicken and it was almost EXACTLY spot on- or maybe because it’s been too long since I’ve had rice, idk. Enjoyed food for first time in eons.
So, yeah, WOW. I AM SHOCKED by my pics and results. It is painful to post these, but in the interest of sheer honesty, it has to be done. I love this program and if you want to try it, too, msg me. I will hook you up with my coach.
Maisie woke us up this morning complaining of a sore throat and feeling worse. Gave her meds and tucked her back in with some hot peach tea and local raw honey. Poor baby.
R is also still feeling poorly, but his covid swab today was also negative. He can’t stop sleeping. Lots of mucus. I have no probs with the mucus, but everything else is wonky.
We left the house for prescriptions and supplies, but the pharmacy closed early. My blood thinners are gone and this is no bueno. I have to be at the drugstore at 9 am to pick them up tomorrow. It is dangerous for people like me with blood clotting disorders (Factor V Leiden in my case) and a history of pulmonary embolism to be off them. I am a lifer. I wore a mask.
I also did the 10 year challenge thingie on FB. I haven’t aged much, except for the white hair and extra 20 lbs left, thanks to L’BRI. I sell the stuff as well as use it and have since my 52nd birthday last year. It WORKS and bejamin buttons your face back in time. Get yours at linktr.ee/missmaisieandmewhile the January skincare sale is on. It is the best thing I’ve ever done for my skin and I’ve done A LOT. This actually WORKS.
Someday, I dream I will learn how to brush my damned hair.
Got some makeup on, just eyes and lips. I don’t wear makeup on my face anymore. I used to- I refuse to now. SOMEONE got some cute glam pics of me standing in dog pee. No, I didn’t eat the yellow snow.
Dinner was Ethiopian collards and cottage cheese, very spicy- but I am losing a bit of my sense of smell and some of my taste, I noticed tonight. Tests keep coming back negative, but this doesn’t bode well.
Day 30-
WEIGHT: 165.8
RESTING HEART RATE:71 (again, still sick. I am so frustrated X2) 13,021 steps 43 min cardio
10:30 am- 1st fueling: CREAMY DOUBLE PEANUT BUTTER CRISP BAR with a big cup of coffee 1:50 pm- 2nd fueling: DECADENT CHOCOLATE FUDGE CRISP BAR (OK, was late for my fueling ughhh) 4:30pm- 3rd fueling: DRIZZLED BERRY CRISP BAR 6:30pm- 4th fueling: CREAMY DOUBLE PEANUT BUTTER CRISP BAR (R grabbed a bar for me when we went to the store) 8:30 pm- Lean and Green meal: Ethiopian Ayib Be Gomen– Spicy collards with cottage cheese. SUPER filling. I missed the injera that would go with it (flat bread), but the spice helped my chills. 10:45 pm-5th fueling: coffee and couldn’t eat anything.
I felt well enough to start working on Maisie’s bedroom again. The bed and most of it is in there, still need the lamp and furniture brought in, plus the closet cleaned.
I am having the worst time trying to sort out how to drape the canopy hanging. It’s really difficult to do and I am not pleased with it at all. I will have R help me tomorrow.
I pushed myself way too hard today, got winded a lot. I am on the upswing, knock wood.
Weight loss stayed the same. I am not too concerned about it, as it’s been a tough week healthwise for us all. Covid test was negative, which was shocking considering the tons of covid-positive people we’ve been exposed to, knock wood. The molecular test came back tonight. I will be able to leave the house for shopping tomorrow (albeit with a mask). I need to finish up her bedroom.
Day 28-
WEIGHT: 166.2
RESTING HEART RATE:69 12,357 steps 44 min cardio *BUT 201 ZONE MINUTES!!*
11:45 am- 1st fueling: DRIZZLED BERRY CRISP BAR 2:00 pm- 2nd fueling: CREAMY DOUBLE PEANUT BUTTER CRISP BAR 4:20 pm- 3rd fueling: ZESTY LEMON CRISP BAR 6:40 pm- 4th fueling: HONEY MUSTARD & ONION STICKS 9:00 pm- Lean and Green meal: Rotisserie Chicken and asparagus 11:00 pm-5th fueling: CARAMEL MACCHIATO SHAKE
My second box of food comes today (ordered it early and included things I knew I loved)!!! I am sick of fuelings I don’t like- glad I know what works for me now and what doesn’t.
Did I mention how much I love this diet journey? It’s so easy and fits my lifestyle… not having to think is a major win for me.
Maisie is still feeling poorly, but she is so excited about her new bedroom. We planned to do the painting, the rest of the cleaning, and begin decorating today, but we ended up sick as well. A few more things were pulled out of her room, but we have barely enough energy to even function and have to covid test in the morning.
We all felt so awful by nightfall, but got the spackle, spot painting, and rug installed. I monogrammed the lamp shade with her initials. It could have been executed better, but I felt like crap.
The bed is delayed, so the child is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. She ended up ON THE FLOOR, with the cat on the mattress.
Day 25-
WEIGHT: 167.1 (NO CHANGE FROM YESTERDAY… CAN’T WIN EM ALL)
RESTING HEART RATE:66 12,188 steps 43 min cardio
10:30 am- 1st fueling: Bar of some sort with a big cup of coffee 1:00 pm- 2nd fueling: another bar because I am too tired to move 3:00 pm- 3rd fueling: DECADENT CHOCOLATE BROWNIE (waffled with plain laughing cow light cheese) 6:00 pm- 4th fueling: ZESTY LEMON CRISP BAR (my new box of fuelings arrived today with new things to try!!) 8:30 pm- Lean and Green meal: chicken sausages, cauliflower, avocados 10:45 pm-5th fueling: coffee because I forgot to eat ugh
HIT THE 2 WEEK MARK WITH A BIG DROP IN WEIGHT! I am over the moon.
The starting weight from the week before was 179.
If I use the weight from the week before I began the diet (because I was terrified to step on the scale on the first day), I’ve lost 9 lbs in 2 weeks!!!
It was been sooo easy. I am looking forward to continuing to lose weight, despite the challenges of the holiday season. I *WILL* lose the pandemic and baby weight finally and for good. Honestly, this is the easiest diet I’ve ever tried.
If you are interested in trying this, I will give you my referral to my coach for a health assessment.
Now for my embarrassing before/afters:
plus lupus and other autoimmune issues, plus whatever else…
Day 14–
Resting Heart Rate: 67 Morning Weight: 170.2!! I feel like this is actually fat loss now and not as much water… I actually measure inches thinner all over!! 12,100 steps 49 min cardio 96 oz or more of water
10:00 am- 1st fueling: CAMPFIRE SMORES BAR AND COFFEE
I forgot to pack my fuelings when I went to finish some last minute shopping and screwed up my entire day- but it was fine by the next day (though I was freaking out worried on day 13). We went to Costco and I brought home a rotisserie chicken. I sat while the others had their Costco hot dogs, I really wasn’t hungry.
When I woke up I felt like crud today, too. Headache in front of the head, but less severe than yesterday. General lethargy (again, less than yesterday). I will do a covid swab today. I have the home tests on my shelf. I just need the energy to get to the shelf. I am not usually prone to headaches or migraines.
I do notice a tickle in my throat, no other cold symptoms. I snore, so scratchy throats in the morning aren’t a bit deal.
I’ve been pushing through with rebounding and steps, but just the minimum to keep the aches and pains away. It also helps my breathing immensely. My body pain is the only thing that has gone away so far, which leads me to continue to believe that this was just an immune system freakout. I have covid long hauler stuff on top of it, so who knows?
UPDATES:
As the day wore on, my symptoms went away and my swab was NEGATIVE!
I had a lot of work to catch up on, so my workouts suffered, but I still got my steps in. I am pretty happy with this diet so far… so much so that I will be probably leaving my coach’s link (when I can find it) on this blog from now on, apparently I get some sort of referral credits. I am not quite sure how that works yet.
Dinner was an easy chicken pho style soup with Miracle Noodles and herbs and avocado as garnish. Sometimes a proper soup is all a body needs when you’re feeling off-kilter.
Resting Heart Rate: 68 Morning Weight: not weighing today. I felt yucky and tired. Had to eat first and I only weigh first thing in the morning before weigh-in usually. 12,328 steps 35 min cardio 90 oz or more of water
11:00 am- 1st fueling: HONEY MUSTARD AND ONION STICKS AND COFFEE
I was shocked that I only weighed .1 of a pound over my previous weight this morning.
I was in such pain and headache misery from my autoimmune flares, I pressed through with the rebounding/steps/hydration/eating on plan and it helped so much.
I was reminded today by someone that I need to start training in the gym again.
I am also thinking seriously about removing my 20 year old saline breast implants. They may be a factor in why my autoimmune has been worsening.
Everything felt better after my lean and green meal…
Here are some holiday gifts we received from friends the other day that I forgot to post- they’re so amazing!
I am busy working on sending out my L’BRI team gifts from November that need to be out before Xmas. The first batch went out a couple days ago. Everything has been delayed due to my family illnesses or work commitments. I need to get it all on track and start the New Year right.
Day 11– Resting Heart rate: 169 Morning Weight: 171.1 creeping up due to bad food choices and lack of exercise, but inexplicably lost more inches! 12,100 steps 1 hour 1 min cardio 80 oz of water
11:30 am- 1st fueling: CAMPFIRE S’MORES BAR and a big cup of coffee
